Felted e-reader cover

Some projects are just simple ‘in-between’ projects. One of those is my e-reader cover. Nothing fancy, all stockinette stitch in-the-round. It isn’t my most beautiful project but it’s by far the knitted item I’ve used the most. Knitted over 18 months ago and still used almost every day.

CIMG1325_medium2I’ve felted bags before with Drops eskimo uni. So I hoped the tweed would felt in the same way. I measured my felted bag, counted the stitches I would need, added two to be more secure. Felting took two cycles, which can be pretty long if you want to see if you got it right. Luckily for me it turned out the perfect size.

The edge wasn’t planned originally. It curled when I took it out of the washer and I liked the look. I used it to hide the knot of the elastic cord.
