In the Netherlands today is the national wear red day. Since my mom has a her ICD I’ve become more aware of this day so I wanted to remind you all. It seems like something small to do, just wear something red. But it’s a great way to show you care. Even if you have no money to donate you can make a change. A little change can make a big difference for the health of you and your loved ones. I know, in the USA and UK, 6 February was your dress red day but red is a beautiful color so why not wear it today?
The Heart Truth® created and introduced the Red Dress® as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to remind women of the need to protect their heart health, and inspire them to take action. National Wear Red Day promotes the symbol and provides an opportunity for everyone—men and women alike—to unite in this life-saving awareness-to-action movement by wearing anything and everything red!
